Scheduled Itinerary for this Tour:

Day 1 – San Francisco to Beijing

Depart San Francisco for a pleasant flight via United Airlines or Air China.

Day  2 – Beijing

Arrive Beijing, you will be met and transfer to Pullman West Wanda Hotel or Chang An Grand Hotel for rest.

Day 3 – Beijing

After breakfast, visit the Temple of Heaven, an architecture masterpiece built between 1406 AD and 1420 AD to be used by the emperor from Ming and Qing dynasties for ceremonies honoring the god of harvests. After that, proceed to Hutong tour by the old fashioned trishaw, exploring the history and culture of old Beijing. Today’s lunch will be dumplings made by you together with local family. After lunch, go to visit the Shichahai Bar Street. It’s a famous scenic area, surrounding places of historic interest and scenic beauty, and remnants of old-style Beijing residences of Hutong – alleys formed by lines of siheyuan. Day 4 – Beijing

Morning: Explore the incredible Forbidden City with its best-preserved imperial palace complex, where 24 emperors lived and ruled for over 500 years. Then visit Tiananmen Square-the biggest of city central in the world. After that, go to Qianmen Street, the old shopping street of Qing Dynasty. Then Continue to the beautiful Summer Palace where you can discover the royal gardens, pavilions and halls in a tranquil lakeside setting. Later visit Pearl City. At night, enjoy the optional spectacular Kung Fu Show (B.L.D.)

Day 5 – Beijing

Morning: after visiting Bona Jade Store, you will explore the Juyongguan section of the Great Wall of China. The Great Wall is one of the 'Seven Wonders of the World'. Afternoon: continue to visit outside of Bird’s Nest and Water Cube, which are Olympic stadiums of 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. Then transfer to visit the famous commercial street—Wangfujing Street. Wang Fu Jing Street is one of the Chinese capital's most famous shopping streets with hundreds of long history and is called "Gold Street". Wang Fu Jing Street with historical and modern culture of Beijing is the commercial centre beyond controversy in whole country. Then visit invigorant store (free foot massage). Day 6 – Beijing / Chengde

After breakfast visit Jingshan Park which situates at the highest point of Beijing central axis. From here, you can take a panoramic view of the resplendent and magnificent Forbidden City. Then continue to the Xiushui Street. After that, transfer to Chengde by bus. Visit the famous Imperial Mountain Summer Resort-the world's largest classical imperial garden which is twice as big as the Summer Palace of Beijing and eight times as big as the Beihai Park. In 1994, the special global cultural and natural value of the Summer Mountain Resort of Chengde and the temples around it was confirmed when the UNESCO listed the resort and the mountains around as world cultural heritage. Day 7 – Chengde – Beijing

After breakfast visit Putuozongcheng Temple which is an imitation of the Potala Palace in Tibet, and it is known as the small Potala Palace. Then come to visit the Xumifusi Temple-one of the three main buildings in Waiba Temple. After that, go back Beijing and enjoy one of the wonderful Golden Mask Dynasty Show. Day 8 – Beijing/Tianjin/Beijing

Morning make an excursion by coach to Tianjin-one of the four municipalities in China. Its name means 'the place where the emperor crossed the river'. Facing the Bohai Sea, also the one time imperial port, serves as Beijing's vital gateway to the sea.  upon arrival, you will visit the famous Tianjin Ancient Cultural Street with 600 years history. As the result of expanding Tian Hou Temple, renovating Yu Huang Ge building and renewing the Haihe street-the fine landscape and distinctive architectural style has been a flourish, cultural and tourist area. Then continue to visit the Tianjin Food Street where you can get a lot of local snacks and take home as gifts. After that, transfer back Beijing and visit the Jewelry Store. Day 3 – (May 26, 2012) Shanghai: One-Day Excursion to Zhujiajiao

Visit Zhujiajiao which has a long history stretching back 1700 years when the village was first formed and grew into a town during the Wanli Period of the Ming Dynasty. So far there are the ancients and tools people used 5000 years ago found in Zhujiajiao. It is famous for its rice market and flourishes with the Daqing Post Office, oil shops, banks, electronics factories, and old real estate. The town is also on the water. There are several rivers across the river, nine long streets along the river, thousands of architectural remnants from the Ming and Qing Dynasty stand by the river, 36 stone bridges across the rivers. You will enjoy a boat ride on the river to explore this Ancient town with natural scenery of little bridges spanning bubbling streams.  In the afternoon you will visit Shanghai Museum, one of the largest museums in China and Nanking Road.  Special local cuisine in the evening. Upon arrival, transfer to Inter Continental Thousand Islands Resort Hotel. Spend the remainder of the day relaxing in this beautiful Resort Hotel or strolling in the local area or watch the sunset. Day 10 – (June 2, 2012) Thousand Island Lake/Tunxi, Huangshan (Yellow Mountain)

This morning take a five boat ride down the waterway to view the beautiful scenic spots of the Thousand Island Lake (Qiandao Hu). Day 4 – Shanghai: One-Day Excursion to Zhujiajiao

Visit Zhujiajiao which has a long history stretching back 1700 years when the village was first formed and grew into a town during the Wanli Period of the Ming Dynasty. So far there are the ancients and tools people used 5000 years ago found in Zhujiajiao. It is famous for its rice market and flourishes with the Daqing Post Office, oil shops, banks, electronics factories, and old real estate. The town is also on the water. There are several rivers across the river, nine long streets along the river, thousands of architectural remnants from the Ming and Qing Dynasty stand by the river, 36 stone bridges across the rivers. You will enjoy a boat ride on the river to explore this Ancient town with natural scenery of little bridges spanning bubbling streams.  In the afternoon you will visit Shanghai Museum, one of the largest museums in China and Nanking Road.  Special local cuisine in the evening. Today, we cruise aborad “Jesus Boat” across the Sea of Galilee” we will celebrate Mass on the Boat while passing the village of Magdala, hometown of Mary Magdalene; Bethsaida, Genesret to view 2000 year-old Jesus Boat Visit, Capernaum, the home of Peter, site of feeding of 5000 and Mount of the Beatitude, site of the Sermon on the Mount and site of  the Peter’s Primacy. After visit to Joseph and Mary’s well, we will return to and Overnight in Galilee.  (B/D).

Feb. 28,2012 – Day 6:  Mt. Carmel, Caesarea/Joppa/Emmaus/Judean Hills/Jerusalem.

Today, we depart Galilee for Jerusalem.  We will go to the Holy Sepulcher and see the place where Jesus was crucified, where He laid nad anointed and where He was buried.  After our visit, we will have time to roam around the market and do some shopping.  We will also have lunch at the square.  We will drive along the old Jericho Road passing the inn of the Good Samaritan.  Passing by Jericho, we view the Mount of Temptation and Mount Nebo.  Proceeding along the Jordan Valley to Beit-Shean (Ancient Scitopolice.  One of the Decapolis cities during the time of the ministry of Jesus).  We than will visit the “Yardenit”  The Jordan river Baptismal site.  Check in Prima Royal Hotel or similar.  (B/D).

Feb. 29, 2012 – Day 7  Western Wall/The Pools of Bethesda, Bethlehem

Travel to the old city and enter through St. Stephen’s gate.  Visit the pool of Bethesda and St. Anne’s Church. 

View the Ecce Homo Arch and the remnantns of the judgement hall of Pontius Pilate.  Visit Mount Olives and have a bird’s eye view of the city.  Drive along the Eastern Wall to the Western Wall.  Visit the Western Wall and view Temple Mount.  Travel to Beth-Lehem, the birthplace of Christ.  We will also visit St. Jerome’s Chapel and St. Catherine’s Chapel and the Shepherd’s fields.  Overnight in Jerusalem (B/D).

March 1, 2012 – Day 8: Massada/Qumran/Dead Sea/Ein-Geddie

After breakfast, we drive along the Jordan Valley, passing Jericho on our way to the Dead Sea.  In the Horizon, we will see Mt. Nevo.  We continue to drive to Qumran, where the Dead Sea scrolls were discovered.  Then we ascent Masada by Cable Car for a fascinating tour of the mountain where 960 Jewish defenders organized hissoldiers from King Saul.  We enjoy a float in the salty water of the dead Sea.  Late afternoon, we visit the Garden of Gethsemane.  Overnight Jerusalem (B/D).

March 2, 2012 – Day 9: Visitation Church, The New City of Jerusalem, the Shrine of the Book/Holocaust Museum:

Check out.  Today we visit the Church of St. John, Visitation, the New City of Jerusalem, the Shrine of the Book and the City Model (portraying the city as it was in the time of Jesus church).  Yad Vashem-the Holocaust Museum and then drop off at the airport. (B).

March 3, 2012 – Day 10- TLV-LAX

Return back home.

***Mass will celebrated daily.  Places and time will be confirmed by the Christian Pilgrimage office as the Time nearer our arrival. Mass will held from Day 3 – 9.  Some of the Places are the Holy Sepulchre, Garden of Gethsemane, Wedding Church at Canna, Sea of Galilee, Church of Transfiguration, Church of Nativity in Bethlehem, the Church of Annunciation and The Church of  Transfiguration and The Upper Room.
