Scheduled Itinerary for this Tour:
Day 1: San Francisco / Hong Kong
Depart San Francisco for a pleasant non-stop flight via Cathay Pacific to Hong Kong.
Day 2: Hong Kong / Taipei臺北
Early morning arrive Hong Kong then immediately make a connecting flight to Taipei. Meet upon arrival in the late morning at Taipei International airport and start tour of Taipei- the capital of the Republic of China (ROC) (commonly known as Taiwan) and the central city of the largest metropolitan area of Taiwan Island. Situated at the northern tip of the island, Taipei is located on the Tamsui River. Upon arrival, start our City Tour at the Presidential Office Building(pass by), Chiang Kai‐Shek Memorial Hall, Martyr’s Shrine (War Memorial), National Palace Museum, Traditional Taiwanese Temple, Handicraft Center. Stay at the Palais de Chine Hotel (5-star) or similar hotel. (B.L.D.)
Day 3: Excursion Tour of Keelung 基隆 ; Jiufen 九份; Yehliu 野柳
This morning we will start the half day tour to the northern coast through rich farming land to the growing industrial area and harbor of Keelung–A major port city in the northeast of Taiwan . We will see the Cave of the Immortals, a narrow natural cleft in a hill containing Buddhist shrines and sculptures, also we will visit Jiufen-once was gold city of Asia and called little Shanghai or little Hong Kong, . The most prosperous shopping district is Jiufen (Jioufen) Old Street. It goes through most of the village. Along the street there are shops vending the most famous country snack of Jiufen (Jioufen), yam dish and various local dishes too. Then continue along the northern coast to Yehliu Park- known for it’s spectacular rock formations, sculptured throughout the ages by wind and sea erosion leaving fascinating pillars including the famous Queen’s Head and Fairy’s Shoe. After lunch back to the hotel for rest until the evening when you will be taken to Shilin Night Market-士林夜市 – is a popular destination after dark in Taipei City. Shilin Night Market has since become the largest and most well-known night market in Taiwan, especially with regards to food, and is a favorite focal point for Taipei’s night life among residents and visitors alike. Day 4: Taipei 臺北 / Sun Moon Lake日月潭
After breakfast in the hotel, we will take the coach to sun Moon Lake where our bus will drive us around the lake with stops at Wenwu Temple, Holy Monk Shrine, Tes-En Pagoda. Stay at the Sun Moon Lake Fleur de Chine Hotel with every rooms equipped marble hot spring bathtub. (B.L.D.)
Day 5: Sun Moon Lake 日月潭 / Tainan 台 南, Pingtung Province
After breakfast, proceed to Formosan Aborigines Cultural Village then drive to Tainan-Ancient Capital City of Taiwan, and visit Forever (Chikan) Castle, Shrine of Kuosinga, and Confucius Temple. Stay at the H Resort or same class hotel. (B.L.D.).
Day 6:Tainan /East coast national Scenic Area東台灣海岸 / Hualien – Taroko Gorge 太魯閣
Our exciting tour to the East Coast national Scenic Area Begins, we will be visit Some popular spots like Little Yeliu, Sanxiantai, Stone Steps, and Eight Immortals Cave on the way to Hualien. Stay at the Farglory Hotel or Silks Place Taroko. (B.L.D.)
Day 7: Hualien 花蓮 / Taipei
Photo opportunities at the Eternal Spring Shrine長春祠 with stop Swallow Grotto燕子口, Tunnel of Nine turns九曲洞, Marble Bridge, Tienxiang, and a marble factory. We will leave late afternoon to Taipei by Taroko speed train (or Tzechiang 自強class train). Upon arrival, check in Palais de chine Hotel for rest. Farewell dinner in the evening. (B. L. D.)
Day 8: Taipei / San Francisco
Bid farewell to the Orient and return to the United States via Cathay Pacific Airways in the evening, re-crossing the International Date Line for the same day arrival or if you wish, you can extend your stay in Hong Kong and return to San Francisco on a later date within 60 Days. (B.)
