Scheduled Itinerary for this Tour:

Day 1 – San Francisco/Beijing

Depart to Beijing, China via United Airlines. (Meals in-flight)

Day 2 – Beijing

Arrive this famous city of China: Beijing, in the evening. Transfer to Capital Hotel (5 star hotel) for a nice sleep before an exciting cultural experience starting the next morning.

Day 3 – Beijing

Full day tour starts with seven-miles drive and sightseeing in the Summer Palace, with luxurious complex of courtyards, gardens, pavilion, pagodas, and the well known Marble Boat is enlightening. You will also visit the IMPERIAL PALACE through the TienAnMen (The “Gate of Heavenly Peace”) – probably the largest public square in the world: capable of ceremonial gathering of a million or more people. The IMPERIAL PALACE, also known as the FORBIDDEN CITY, with an area of 250 acres, is quite an experience of its own. SPECIAL FEATURE: Welcome Peking Duck Dinner at night. (B.L.D.)

Day 4 – Beijing

This day will give you an unforgetable memory of a life-time when you walk the GREAT WALL (3,000 miles long and the only man-made object visible from outer space). The second half is as exciting when you drive through the famous Avenue of the Animals: statues of lions, camels, elephants, horses, and two sets of mythical beasts to the MING TOMBS. It will be a completely different sight when you pass the “SACRED WAY” to the Tomb of Ding Ling where Emperor Wan Li was buried here with two of his wives in a deep marble vault and many artifacts plus jewelry four stories underground. Day 5 – Beijing/Xian

In the morningvisit the Temple of Heaven before your afternoon flight to Xian. Upon arrival in Xian transfer to the comfortable Hyatt Hotel (5 star) for your stay in Xian. (B.L.D.)

Day 6 – Xian

Today discover the treasures of this region with a full day tour to the Qin Tomb excavation famous for the Terra Cotta Warriors. Also visit the archeological ruins of BanBo Village. Enjoy and evening of cultural entertainment (Tang’s Singing & Dance Show). (B.L.D.)

Day 7 – Xian/Shanghai

Take a last look at this great archeological city, and depart for Shanghai-one of China’s most modern city. Upon arrival, transfer to Ramada Hotel for a pleasant evening. (B.L.D.)

Day 8 – Shanghai

Change pace today when you tour the largest and most populated city in China: Shanghai. Start from Zhongshan Road is a wide, tree-lined avenue along the Huangpu River till you reach the Bund-once the exclusive domain of the Western powers. The Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation, the China’s Foreign Trade Corp., the Clock Tower, etc. are all good contrast to U.S. Metropolitan environment. A visit to the Worker’s Residential area and the Jade Buddha Temple (with its two rare statues of Buddha, each carved out of a single piece of white jade) the rest of the day is also delightful. Day 9 – Shanghai/Guilin

Morning sightseeing includes a stop at one of the most famous local Friendship store. This give you an opportunity to shop for some of the local handicrafts and souvenier. Then, take a flight to Guilin, get a good night rest at the Royal Garden Hotel in preparation for a breathe-taking experience in the beautiful natural scenery of Guilin the next day. (B.L.D.)

Day 10 – Guilin

No doubt about it, a spectacular six-hours cruise in the Li River is one of the highlight of the China Tour. Along the approximately 26 Km. down the river, you’ll find China’s rain-washed, pastel-colored, landscape, unfolded in unusual natural wonders such as the Elephant Trunk Hill, Crescent Moon Hill, Mural Hill, Old Man Mountain, etc. The cruise will end at Yangshuo near 1,300 year old bayan tree. Day 11 – Guilin/Hong Kong

After breakfast your morning flight takes you to the Pearl of the Orient, Hong Kong and to the Royal Plaza or same class hotel. Relax in the afternoon before your welcoming, Western-style dinner. (B.L.D.)

Day 12 – Hong Kong

Enjoy a morning island tour to Victoria Peak, Repulse Bay, Deepwater Bay, Stanley Market and end with lunch aboard a floating restaurant in the Aberdine Fishing Village. The remainder of the day is free for more sightseeing, shopping or strolling in this city that never sleeps. (B.L.)

Day 13 – Hong Kong

After breakfast at your hotel, this day is free to explore Hong Kong, continue shopping or take an optional tour to Macau. (B.)

Day 14 – Hong Kong/San Francisco

Wrap up your memories and bid farewell to the Orient and return to the United States, recrossing the International Date Line for same day arrival. (B.)
